The GYYA - Yo-Yo Association Germany e. V. is a German association of yo-yo players to promote and maintain their sport. The abbreviation GYYA stands for German Yo-Yo Association. The GYYA is a properly registered association, its seat is in Markdorf on Lake Constance.

The GYYA organizes the German Yo-Yo Masters (German Yo-Yo Championships) as well as other competitions and referee training. In addition, the GYYA has organized annual yo-yo camps since 2000 and supports the World Yo-Yo Contest , in which the best players in Germany take part every year.

The GYYA was founded in autumn 1999 at the 2nd German Yo-Yo Masters. One of the reasons for the establishment was that championships and competitions were to be organized independently of the industry and certain yo-yo companies and thus to guarantee a sporty and fair competition in which manufacturer-independent yo-yos may be used.

Since 2002 the GYYA has also been active in the European Yo-Yo Committee to maintain contacts and organize camps on a European level. In addition, a uniform set of rules for competitions was created, which is based on international conditions. The GYYA is also co-organizer of the European Yo-Yo Championships , the European Yo-Yo Championships. This took place for the first time in January 2010 in Prague and will now take place every year.
