A year later in Lauscha and Zakopane he clearly missed the second round. In September 2005 he started in the FIS Cup after a two-year international break. He managed to win points for the first time in the second competition in Predazzo . Then he came back to the B national team in December and started again in the Continental Cup. However, he failed in all competitions until January 2006 in the first round. Also in the following three years he did not succeed in points. He was only able to win points during his interim starts in the FIS Cup.

On March 21, 2009 he competed in his first and only ski jumping World Cup competition at the team ski flying in Planica . He reached ninth place with the team.

At the French Championships in 2009 in Chaux-Neuve a week later , Morel reached 12th place in the individual. Even with the team, he did not achieve a medal rank and was sixth after the team competition.

Morel played his last international competitions in March 2010 as part of the FIS Cup in Courchevel . In both competitions he reached the points again before he ended his active career.
