Mohamed Youcef Belaïli (born March 14, 1992 in Oran ) is an Algerian football player . The striker currently plays for al-Ahli Jeddah and for the Algerian national team .
Career
He started his professional career at CA Bordj Bou Arréridj . From 2010 to 2012 he played for MC Oran . He then moved to Tunisia for Espérance Tunis , with which he became Tunisian champion in 2012 and 2014. Then Belaïli returned to Algeria to USM Algiers . In August 2015 he gave a positive doping test after a CAF Champions League game and was banned for two years. After Belaili found a second positive doping test from a league game, the ban was doubled in October 2015 to four years. His contract with USM Algiers had been terminated shortly before. After the suspension was lifted after 2 years, he moved to the French club SCO Angers on September 11, 2017 . He played for SCO Angers for six months until he moved back to Espérance Tunis on January 26, 2018 for free. In November of the same year he won the CAF Champions League against Al Ahly with Espérance Tunis . In June 2019 he won the title again because the Wydad Casablanca team refused to play due to a defect in the VAR . On August 29, 2019, he moved to Al Ahli Jeddah for 3 million .
National team
Belaili made his debut for the Algerian national team on March 26, 2015 in a friendly against Qatar , where he scored 3 goals. With the selection he won the Africa Cup in 2019 .
