Your Choice Records is an independent label from Germany. It was founded in 1988 by Tobby Holzinger on the do-it-yourself principle and has specialized in German and international independent, hardcore and punk live releases.

Your Choice Records was inspired by the work of other independent labels such as Dischord Records , Alternative Tentacles , SST Records and Touch and Go Records .

The basic idea of ​​Your Choice Records was to unite different international bands from the punk / HC scene in a series of high quality live records with a concept cover with recognition value and in the context of a counterculture . In addition, the sales of the publications should support the "Animal Rights" scene. In the late 1980s and early 1990s, an extensive documentation of a groundbreaking development in music history was created, which reached its turning point with the 1991 song Smells Like Teen Spirit and the album Nevermind at the latest .

The original idea of ​​restricting the series to 12 releases and a final compilation (with unreleased material from the 12 bands) resulted in an overall concept of 50 releases, divided into three main parts, which has remained incomplete to this day.

Most of the Your Choice publications are no longer available and do not appear to be reissued. It is also unclear whether there will be any more Your Choice Records releases.
