Ysselsteyn is a village in the municipality of Venray in the province of Limburg , in the Netherlands .
history
It was founded in 1921 and named after its founder, Hendrik Albert van IJsselsteyn, then Minister of Agriculture. In 2008 it had 2170 inhabitants.
Ysselsteyn's main interest is the German war cemetery Ysselsteyn at Timmermansweg 73, which covers around 28 hectares and contains the burial sites of 31,598 German war dead, most of whom died in the Netherlands during World War II .
