Mike Teunissen (born August 25, 1992 in Ysselsteyn ) is a Dutch cyclist .
Career
Teunissen was initially particularly successful in cyclocross , where he was the Dutch youth champion in 2008 and European and 2013 world champion in the U23 class. For the 2013 season, he signed a contract with the Dutch Rabobank Development Team and won the Baronie Breda Classic, his first road bike race on an international cycling calendar . He was able to repeat the success in the following year and was also victorious in the U23 event from Paris-Roubaix .
From the 2015 season Teunissen drove for the first time for a UCI WorldTeam , the Dutch team Lotto NL-Jumbo, for which he won the prologue of the Tour de l'Ain in his first year and contested his first Grand Tour with the Vuelta a España and finished 104th. finished. He drove his first Tour de France in 2017 as a member of the German team Sunweb and was 129th in the overall ranking.
