Quincy Jyrome Acy (born October 6, 1990 in Tyler , Texas ) is an American basketball player on the position of power forward . He has been under contract with Makkabi Tel Aviv since 2019 .
Career
Quincy Acy was drawn 37th by the Toronto Raptors in the 2012 NBA Draft . In his rookie season, the beefy forward should be used for both the Raptors and their then farm team Bakersfield Jam in the NBA Development League . Overall, Acy came in his first season on 29 appearances as a substitute for the Raptors.
Shortly after the start of the 2013/14 NBA season , Acy joined the Sacramento Kings as part of the Rudy Gay trade with him and Aaron Gray . In his second year as a pro, Acy was able to develop further and became a valuable substitute in Sacramento.
On August 6, 2014, the New York Knicks announced the signing of Quincy Acy and Travis Outlaw ; in return, Jeremy Tyler and Wayne Ellington moved to the Kings. With the Knicks, Acy played the weakest season in the long history of the franchise. A fight between Acy and John Wall in the game against the Washington Wizards on December 25, 2014 also caused negative press . However, Acy was able to stabilize his individual performances in the second half of the season and, due to the departure of Amar'e Stoudemire , first experiences collect as a player on the starting grid . The Knicks decided after the season against a further commitment Acys, and so he returned to Sacramento after a season.
For the 2016/2017 season, Acy joined the Dallas Mavericks and signed a contract until 2018.
