Travis Marquez Outlaw (born September 18, 1984 in Starkville , Mississippi ) is an American basketball player who played in the National Basketball Association since 2003 .

Career

Outlaw was drafted by the Portland Trailblazers in the 2003 NBA Draft , straight from Starkville High School . He spent the first seven years in Portland and had his best year in 2007-08 when he scored 13.3 points and 4.6 rebounds per game. In 2009 he reached the play-offs for the first time with Portland , where they were eliminated in the first round. In 2010 he was transferred to the Los Angeles Clippers with Steve Blake for Marcus Camby . After the season, Outlaw signed a 5-year deal with the New Jersey Nets. However, at the end of the lockout in December 2011, he was removed from the roster with the amnesty clause, which allowed the Nets to post his due salary outside of the salary cap . Two days later he was signed by the Sacramento Kings, for whom he played the following three seasons.

In the summer of 2014 Outlaw came first in a player swap to the New York Knicks , before they passed him on to the Philadelphia 76ers shortly before the start of the season on October 27, 2014 with rights in the entry draft for Arnett Moultrie . However, the 76ers had no use for Outlaw and released him from his engagements that same day.
