Yue Ya Xin gained her first international experience at the Junior Asian Championships 2014 in Taipei , where she was eliminated with 12.82 s in the lead over 100 meters and finished seventh in the Hong Kong 4 x 100 meter relay in 47.55 s . At the Asian Indoor & Martial Arts Games 2017 in Ashgabat , she took sixth place in the long jump with 5.61 m. In 2019 she won the bronze medal at the Asian Championships in Doha with a width of 6.15 m behind the Chinese Lu Minjia and Ayaka Kōra from Japan. She then improved her national record to 6.31 m at the Summer Universiade in Naples and was sixth.
In 2018 and 2019, Yue became the Hong Kong champion in the long jump.
