Lu Minjia ( Chinese  陆 敏 佳 , Pinyin Lù Mǐnjiā ; born December 29, 1992 ) is a Chinese long jumper .

Athletic career

Lu Minjia gained her first international experience at the 2009 World Youth Championships in Bressanone , where she won the gold medal with 6.22 m. Then she also won a medal at the East Asian Games in Hong Kong with 6.24 m, this time bronze. In 2010 she took part in the World Indoor Athletics Championships in Doha and was eliminated there with 6.25 m in qualification. During the open-air season she won the Junior Asian Championships in Hanoi with 6.47 m in the long jump and silver with the Chinese 4 x 100 meter relay. At the end of October, she took part in the Asian Games in her home city of Guangzhou and reached sixth place with 6.36 m. In 2011 she won the silver medal at the Asian Championships in Kobe behind the Indian Mayookha Johny with 6.52 m and in 2012 she won the Asian Indoor Championships in Hangzhou with 6.33 m .

Two years later she finished seventh at the Continental Cup in Marrakech with 6.14 m and finished sixth at the Asian Games in Incheon, South Korea with 6.28 m. In 2015 she won the Asian Championships in Wuhan with 6.52 m and thus received a bye for the World Championships in Beijing , where she was eliminated with 6.01 m in qualification . In 2016 he finished sixth at the Asian Indoor Championships in Doha with a 6.09 m. Two years later she took part again in the Asian Games in the Indonesian capital Jakarta and was fourth there with 6.50 m. At the Asian Championships in Doha in 2019 , she won the title for the second time after 2015 with a width of 6.38 m.

In 2010 and 2017, Lu became the Chinese long jump champion.
