Yūji Hoshi ( Japanese 星 雄 次 , Hoshi Yūji ; born July 27, 1992 in Kanagawa Prefecture ) is a Japanese football player .

Career

Yūji Hoshi learned to play football in the youth team of the Yokohama F. Marinos and in the university team of the Hōsei University . He signed his first contract with Fukushima United FC in 2015 . The club from Fukushima , a city in the Fukushima prefecture of the same name in the northeast of the main island of Honshū , played in the third division, the J3 League . After a season he left the club and in 2016 joined the second division promoted Renofa Yamaguchi FC from Yamaguchi . By the end of 2017 he was on the pitch for Renofa 59 times in the second division. In 2018 he moved to Ōita Trinita, who also played in the second division, on a free transfer . With the club from Ōita , he became runner-up in the J2 League at the end of 2018 and rose to the first division.
