Yuji Takeoka

Yuji Takeoka ( Japanese 竹 岡 雄 二 , Takeoka Yūji ; * 1946 in Kyōto , Japan ) is an artist and sculptor. He has lived in Düsseldorf since 1973 . He was a professor at the University of the Arts in Bremen .

Life

Takeoka studied from 1968 to 1972 at the Kyoto City University of Arts and graduated in 1972 as a master class student. This was followed by studies at the Düsseldorf Art Academy with Erwin Heerich and Klaus Rinke from 1973 to 1979.

From 1995 until his retirement in 2012 he was professor at the University of the Arts in Bremen.
