Yuka Ōnishi

Yuka Ōnishi ( Japanese 大西 結 花 , Ōnishi Yuka ; born July 6, 1968 in Toyonaka , Osaka Prefecture ) is a Japanese actress , singer and idol of the 1980s.

Life

After Ōnishi graduated from junior high school, she moved to Tokyo . There she made her debut in 1984 in the television drama Family Dinner , which aired on NTV . In 1985 she played a role in the drama Family Jungle . She made her debut as a singer in 1985 at the Yokohama Music Festival with the title Arabesque Romanesque . In 1986, Ōnishi was honored as best young actress alongside Noriko Hayami at the Yokohama Film Festival for her performance in the film Taifu kurabu .

Through her role in the third season of the television series Sukeban Deka in 1987 and in the subsequent films Sukeban Deka - The Film and Sukeban Deka - The Kazama Sisters Strike Back , she gained notoriety beyond her homeland.

Ōnishi also published several photo books. The actress and singer has been married since September 2012.
