Yusef Ahmed Ali , also known as Yusef Ahmed (born October 14, 1988 in Medina ), is a Qatari football player of Somali origin.
Yusef Ali played from 2005 first in the professional team of the Doha- based club Al-Sadd . At a young age, he won the national championship with his club in 2006 and 2007. From July 2009, he played on loan for half a year at Qatar SC , before returning to his home club. For Al-Sadd, Qatar's record champions, Yusef Ali also played in the AFC Champions League . However, he missed his club's triumph in the final of the 2011 AFC Champions League due to injury. In 2015 he moved to league rivals Al-Arabi .
The fast winger had his first international experience in 2005 at the U-17 World Cup in Peru . At the end of 2006 he was appointed to the squad of the team that won the gold medal at the Asian Games in Doha with a 1-0 final win over Iraq . In qualifying for the 2010 World Cup , he represented his country in games against Japan, Bahrain, Australia and China. Yusef Ali was also part of the Qatar squad for the 2011 Asian Football Championship , which was held in his home country. In the second group game, he scored his first two goals in the national shirt in a 2-0 win over China .
