Yves Olivier (born November 29, 1974 in Izegem ) is a former Belgian racing driver and chairman of the KSV Roeselare football club .
Racing
Olivier began racing in 1990 when he finished third in the Belgian national kart championship. Further kart championships followed in 1991 and 1992. In 1993 he was active in the Formula Ford Benelux championship, in 1994 and 1995 in the German Formula Renault championship. From 1996 in the German Formula 3 championship , initially in the largely insignificant B-rating of the previous year's vehicles. In 2000 he switched to the Formula 3000 championship. In 2001 he entered the DTM with a 2000 Opel Astra V8 Coupé from Team Phoenix. In 2002 he drove a 2001 car for the Opel Euroteam, but was released during the season. In 2003 he drove in the V8 Star Series for Irmscher Motorsport.
In February 2018 he became chairman of the Omloop van Vlaanderen , which organizes the rally of the same name.
KSV Roeselare
Since October 2013 he has been chairman of KSV Roeselare , which plays in the second division .
Private
Olivier lives in Roeselare with his wife Valerie and their son Antoine .
