Yvonne Rychly

Yvonne Rychly (born January 16, 1965 in Waidhofen an der Thaya ) is an Austrian politician of the Social Democratic Party of Austria (SPÖ). On January 24, 2019, she was sworn in as a member of the Vienna State Parliament and a member of the Vienna City Council .

Life

Yvonne Rychly completed an apprenticeship as a furrier after compulsory school . From 2002 to 2004 she attended a trade union school, in 2004 she graduated from the works council academy (BRAK).

From 2002 she was a staff representative at Wiener Wohnen , from 2006 to 2014 she was chairwoman of the works council. From 2002 to 2006 she was also regional women chairwoman for Vienna, Lower Austria and Burgenland in the hotel, hospitality and personal service union (HGPD). Since 2006 she has been the chairwoman of the Vida union in Vienna, where she was vice-chairwoman from 2011 to 2013. Since 2009 she has been a member of the board of directors of the Austrian Federation of Trade Unions (ÖGB), and since 2014 she has also been a member of the presidium of the vida union and its deputy chairwoman.

From 2011 to December 2018 she was a member of the district representation in Vienna - Brigittenau . On January 24, 2019, she was sworn in as the successor to Tanja Wehsely in the 20th electoral term as a member of the Vienna State Parliament and Municipal Council , where she is a member of the Municipal Council Committee for Social Affairs, Health and Sport and the Municipal Council Committee for Petitions and Citizens' Initiatives.
