ZZZ Hacker is a punk band from Bielefeld founded in 1980 by the brothers Kussi and Coach Weber . The group Die Ärzte describes ZZZ Hacker as the “laziest band in the world”.

history

After the band was founded, rehearsals took place at the AJZ Bielefeld , where many of the band's first appearances took place in the early 1980s. From 1984 the band played various concerts all over Germany, including with bands such as Die Toten Hosen or Peter and the Test Tube Babies , but not entire tours. In addition, members of the band also played in mod revival bands like Jetzt! or Lik Bit Express. With the entry of Charles Hacker and T-Kiela in the early 1990s, a breath of fresh air came into the band. Numerous concerts followed until, after 18 years of band history, the band's first album was released in 1998. In addition to the album Kein Bier Kein Ton… , various split singles and the 1983 EP Kind do not see there were released . Every five years the band celebrates itself at the Hackerfest, a two-day festival with, among other things, twelve bands and the “Hackerballett”. In 2003 ZZZ Hacker recorded the title track for the film Operation Dance Sensation ; Bela B. took over the vocals . In 2012, after many years, the band released a new record. The Arminia EP 3.0 was presented live on the lawn of the Bielefelder Alm during a home game of Arminia Bielefeld in March 2012. This EP was recorded in the studio of Claus Grabke .

Band members

As a founding member of the band, the coach has been on bass for the band for 33 years. After he opened a tattoo and piercing shop in Bielefeld years ago , he had to quit his second band Dustsucker for lack of time. Despite the lack of time, he and his band mates can still be found at every DSC Arminia Bielefeld home game .

Kussi founded the band with the coach at the time. He is primarily a guitarist, but in emergencies he also steps in as a drummer (1985–1987) or sometimes as a singer. Since he did not become a civil servant, he is responsible for public relations and the ZZZ Hacker homepage. Kussi is also responsible for the band merchandise and has been looking after the "slightly different" shanty choir Shantallica since 2009.

After the ZZZ Hacker had to struggle for years with the problem that the drummers changed frequently, drummer Charles joined the band in the summer of 1990 on the advice of the reigning singer Milos until 1994. Charles has been a singing stand-up drummer since February 1999 after Bart left the band.

Guitarist T-Kiela has been with the band since 1993. He earned his first spurs in his old band Bad Ties. Already known to the other band members, he was introduced to the singer on stage. Mostly he can be found at mountain bike events.

In addition to the four musicians, there are a lot of people around who are involved in the concerts. There is a ballet of its own, the “Hackerballett”, as well as the “Murder Flowers”, which set visual accents during the band's live performances.
