action

Vietnam 1969 : Jackson and Atlas are the pride of the American troops. But while Jackson dutifully pursues his duty to exterminate as many Viet Cong as possible , Atlas lets himself be tempted by the villain Zorc to steal the American super weapons, which were decisive for the war. In addition, Jackson does not manage to finish off the troops around Zorc and his arch-rival Atlas.

20 years later: Without the disappeared super weapons, the war was lost. Disappointed, Jackson has withdrawn to a small town near the American-Iraqi (!) Border and, as a less busy contract killer, just manages to get himself and his little daughter through. Atlas spent 20 years in the quarry after his arrest, until one day Zorc, who obviously had money and power after the war, drives up and takes him out of jail. He needs Atlas for his new perfidious plan: arms deals with the Iraqis! He chose the disco “Dance Sensation” by disco veteran Ralf Eden, which is located in the same small town near the border, as a location. Eden, formerly Zorc's adjutant , suffers from amnesia and does not recognize Zorc. But since he has debts and problems with the not very sympathetic DVD, the “German Association of Germany”, he likes to sell his shop to Zorc. What Eden does not (yet) know either: He stole the super weapons that have been in his attic for 20 years!

Under Zorc's leadership, the shop becomes the scene meeting place in the small town. The rivals of yore soon meet at dissolute disco venues. As well as the inventor of the super rocket fuel destined for the Iraqis, Dr. Herbert Ost, arriving, are all complete again! It comes as it has to: The super weapons appear, Jackson learns about the weapons deal, and so the ultimate, extremely lead-laden showdown of the protagonists takes place in a disused steelworks on the American-Iraqi border ...

The characters

Jackson and Atlas embody the classic action heroes in this film: bullet-resistant, chain-smoking and in camouflage clothing or paint, enemies are swept off the rails with huge firearms. Unlucky friends who were in the firing range. The always somewhat nervous Atlas, in contrast to the "level-headed" family man Jackson, also likes to get rid of guys who are getting on his mind. If the trigger jams or in the rare case the ammunition runs out, the two of them always find a way to shoot their way free.

In contrast, there are the dance-crazy residents of the small town near the American-Iraqi border. Disco ball and sequin suit are the one and only for Ralf Eden. The guests of the "Dance Sensation" also impress with unimagined choreography on the dance floor.

The despotic Zorc, disfigured by a facial injury and the amazing resemblance to a GeStaPo villain of the Indiana Jones series, Dr. Herbert Ost represent the psychopathic or opaque characters in this film.

"Operation Dance Sensation" is refined by the appearances of some celebrities: Jasmin Wagner portrays a nurse, Anke Engelke plays the gossip reporter "Veronica Rell" and Bela B embodies a media scientist who describes Jackson in a talk show as anachronistic and Jackson's profession as not represents more contemporary.

History of origin

Parts of the soundtrack were contributed by the Bielefeld punk band ZZZ Hacker .

reception
