Zach Helm

Zach Helm (born January 21, 1975 in Santa Clara , California ) is an American screenwriter , director and playwright .

life and work

Zach Helm's script for the feature film Stranger Than Fiction earned him a lot of positive reviews, a WGA award and comparisons with Hollywood authoring legend Charlie Kaufman .

In 2007 Helm made his directorial debut in the film adaptation of his very first screenplay, Mr. Magorium's Wonder Shop . He had already written it ten years earlier, but without being able to find anyone interested in the subject. Helm's first play, Speed , premiered in 2007 in Paris under the direction of John Malkovich . The German-language premiere took place on March 21, 2013 in the Theater in der Josefstadt under the direction of Stephanie Mohr .

From 2001 to 2008 Helm was married to the actress Kiele Sanchez .
