Kiele Michelle Sanchez (born October 13, 1977 in Chicago , Illinois ) is an American actress , best known for her roles as Callie Cargill in the television series The Glades , as therapist Anne in Related and as Nikki in Lost .

biography

Kiele Sanchez grew up with three siblings in a suburb of Chicago . At the age of 13, the half-Puerto Rican and half-French discovered her interest in acting.

In 2000, Sanchez took part in an unsuccessful casting for a moderation job at MTV in New York City . An advertising agent who had previously seen her on MTV showed interest in her and offered to help her with her future career. After moving to Los Angeles on her agent's advice , she managed to get a role on That Was Then at her first audition , but the series was canceled after only three episodes. However, she managed to get a role together with Breckin Meyer in the sitcom Married to the Kellys .

In addition, Sanchez had a brief appearance in the 2003 film Inseparable . Sanchez played the role of Nikki in the third season of the US series Lost . In the film 30 Days of Night: Dark Days she plays the lead role Stella .

From 2001 to 2008 Kiele Sanchez was married to the director Zach Helm . On December 29, 2012, she married the actor Zach Gilford , to whom she got engaged in 2011. In August 2015, the couple announced that they were expecting children in November 2015. However, in October 2015, a few weeks before the expected due date, Sanchez suffered a miscarriage , as a result of which her son was born dead.
