action

Stella, the only survivor of the vampire massacre in Barrow, Alaska, gives lectures to convince other people of the existence of the vampires. After a lecture in Los Angeles, she meets Paul, Todd and Amber, who have also lost loved ones to vampires and who are hunting them. They ask Stella to join them. The only way to destroy the threat is to kill the vampire queen Lilith.

To do this, the four of them go underground in Los Angeles, where Lilith and her followers have their headquarters. When it comes to the first encounter with the vampires, Todd is bitten and must be killed by Stella. After they kidnap and torture a vampire, he leads them to a warehouse. There they find prisoner Jennifer, whom they free. All can narrowly escape after another vampire attack.

Jennifer leads her to a ship full of corpses where she was first held. Stella, Paul and Amber enter the ship, which leaves a little later. They find dead people there who have been hung up to bleed to death. They also discover that dead vampires can be brought back to life with blood while they are still in possession of their heads. A short time afterwards, Amber is bitten, and again it is Stella who redeems her. Lilith enters the room and orders that Stella and Paul also bleed to death. However, Stella is able to free herself, beheaded the vampire and freed Paul. When they both want to stop the ship that is on its way to the Arctic Circle to cause another massacre, Paul is attacked and bitten by Lilith. Then Stella can behead Lilith. The other vampires don't attack them anymore, they let them go.

Stella returns to Barrow, Alaska, and digs up her husband's body. She drips her own blood into his mouth, but the loss of blood causes Stella to faint. When she wakes up again, she notices that her husband has come back to life. Stella hugs him joyfully; he bites her.

criticism

"You do n't have to see 30 Days Of Night: Dark Days , but those who like their vampires in a bad mood can make a worse choice."

- Horrorpilot.com

“In the sequel to the successful vampire horror film (there are also vampire love films in the meantime) there is largely no trace of the original cast and the dark elegance of the original. Instead, a rather effective story in the style of the 'Blade' saga is served, in the course of which the heroine unceremoniously follows in the footsteps of Wesley Snipes and, with her new comrades, delivers blood-spattering firefights to the eagerly breaking in need. On a par with its predecessor in terms of bloody details. "
