tourism

Zalakaros is best known for its modern thermal , medicinal and adventure baths. After a borehole on site in 1962 produced warm water from a depth of 2000 meters and a chemical analysis had confirmed the healing properties of the water, which is particularly rich in mineral salts and sulfur, the pool was built three years later. If the bath with its medicinal water was once intended exclusively for the treatment of chronic diseases such as rheumatism , a continuous modernization and expansion process has taken place since then, in which the areas of fitness, wellness and fun are not neglected.

Zalakaros is also valued by tourists as a holiday destination due to its natural location, which enables extensive fruit and wine-growing culture. The hilly landscape of the vineyards offers walking, hiking and cycling trails.

traffic

In Zalakaros, roads no. 7521 and no. 7522 meet. The nearest train station is four kilometers southeast in Zalakomár.
