The Zalmoxis Peak (English; Bulgarian връх Залмоксис wrach Salmoksis ) is a 2500 m high and mountain in the Bearskin Ridge on the east side of the Sentinel Range in the Ellsworth Mountains of the west Antarctic Ellsworthland . It rises 2.95 km northeast of Mount Bearskin , 7.9 km south of Mount Jumper and 8.8 km west-southwest of Mamarchev Peak . The Patton Glacier is northwest, the Crosswell Glacier southeast of it.
American scientists mapped it in 1988. The Bulgarian Commission for Antarctic Geographical Names named it in 2012 after the Thracian deity Zalmoxis .
