The Zamantı is the right source river of the Seyhan in southern Turkey .
The Zamantı rises south of Kurbağalık in the province of Kayseri . It initially flows in a northerly direction past Kurbağalık. Then he turns west. Below Pınarbaşı is the Bahçelik Dam on the river. The Zamantı continues to flow mainly in a south-westerly direction.
In Çamlıca are the hydropower plants Çamlıca-I (84 MW) and Çamlıca-III (27.9 MW; below the Çavdaruşağı dam ). With Çamlıca-II , another hydropower project with 15.4 MW is about to be implemented. The three hydropower projects have in common that kilometers of river sections fall dry and only a fraction of the original amount of water flow through them.
The Zamantı now flows in a southerly direction through the Central Taurus . It flows past the village of Büyükçakır , where it turns to the southeast, before it finally meets the Göksu flowing in from the east and unites with it to form the Seyhan. The Zamantı has a length of 308 km. The catchment area covers 8700 km².
