Zanna Bianca e il grande Kid is a comedic spaghetti western first shown in 1978 , which adopts motifs from Jack London . The film has not yet been shown in German-speaking countries.
action
The young kid loves dime books, especially westerns. When he moved to Gallantine in Missouri in the 1910s, several things came true: The place was ruled by Mr. Morgan, who with his people maltreated the residents in the name of order. The local sheriff was bribed by him. The alcohol addicted brother of Jesse James, Frank, also lives in Gallantine. Kid, who is always accompanied by his dog Zanna Bianca, chooses Frank to be his uncle because he admired his brother. Frank actually pulls himself together, is made the new sheriff of the place and fights against the machinations of Morgan with Kid and the intelligent dog. Many adventures and bloodless arguments later leave Frank and Kid Gallantine, which has become a resting place for retired bandits.
criticism
A “film without a single successful joke”, says Christian Keßler . The dog's task is "above all to run around the actors between the legs."
