Tony Kendall

Tony Kendall (actually: Luciano Stella ; born August 22, 1936 in Rome ; † November 28, 2009 there ) was an Italian actor .

Life

Kendall (the stage name was suggested by Vittorio de Sica ) started out as a performer in photoromanzi for publications such as “Bolero”, “Sogno” and “Grand Hotel” in many European films, especially in the 1960s and 1970s. In Germany he was best known for his impersonation of the novel series hero Commissioner X , Jo Walker, of Pabel Verlag , whom he played in seven films between 1965 and 1971 alongside Brad Harris , as he often did in German co-productions was seen. In addition, Kendall was also committed to several spaghetti westerns , some B-movies and in part of the horror film series about "The Riding Corpses", The Return of the Riding Corpses . In the 1990s he was active in a number of television films.

The last film Kendall worked on was Voce del verbo amore from 2007.

A 142-minute documentary The X-Men Strike Back was created in 2012 for the publication of the Commissioner X films on DVD . The documentary was made shortly before the death of Commissioner X actor Tony Kendall.
