Kuma Cunningham and Jane Lindström are a couple in love. By chance they find a strange stone. Kuma asks Jane to throw this stone away, the stone would represent bad luck. In the evening, Jane attends a local parade Esala Perahera . Here she meets her old friend Ireen. Ireen is a drug addict and asks Jane for money. However, Jane does not give Ireen any money and pursues her. In an old building she is caught by a group of dealers. The leader Fred injects heroin and rapes Jane. The stone of death falls into the hands of the dealers. In the meantime, Ireen Kuma has reported that Jane is in the hands of the dealer. Kuma goes to drug hell and finds Jane dead. She died of a heroin overdose. In a tough battle, Fred and the other dealers are killed. The police arrest Kuma.
Kris Patterson is one of the richest women in Sri Lanka. She owns plantations and manages them with her friend Miguel Gomez. They are visited by Kris' son Frank Patterson and her niece Meryll Davis. Miguel Gomez runs the drug business. When a dealer comes to their house and seeks shelter, Miguel kills him and takes the stone of death from him. Before the police, he claims that he acted in self-defense. Meryll has been watching and knows that Gomez is the most important figure in the drug business in Sri Lanka.
Kuma manages to escape on the transport to the prison. In the jungle, he meets a troop of veterans from the Vietnam War. Brian and Hemmingway plan a robbery on the Bank of Kandy . During the robbery, Meryll and Frank happened to be in the bank. Meryll tries to take pictures of the robbery and is caught by Brian. She is being taken hostage. The attack fails. Kuma, Brian and Hemmingway manage to escape with Meryll. Meryll is fascinated by the story that Kuma took revenge on the dealers out of love for Jane.
Meryll wants to inform her aunt Kris that Miguel Gomez is the head of a drug cartel. But Kris is involved in the business himself and does nothing. When the news of the death of her son Fred arrives, her mind changes. Fred had been drugged by Miguel for years and became addicted. But Miguel has usurped the power. All shares in the company belong to him. He manages to repel the attack on the farm of Kuma, Brian and Hemmingway. Kris Patterson dies in the fighting. Miguel tries to escape. There is a final battle with Kuma. Miguel dies and Kuma disappears with Brian, Hemmingway and Meryll. Kuma throws the stone of death into a ravine. The policeman Vic is a close friend of Kuma and does not pursue her.
