action
Captain Tom Rowland gives Allan Hood two kilograms of LSD at the American Embassy in Istanbul. This is to be passed on from the American consul to the NATO troops stationed in Turkey next week. The gang of green dogs learns of the handover and steals the LSD from the embassy vault - Allan's brother George Hood, who happens to be present, is kidnapped and later murdered.
However, Tom Rowland just handed over powdered sugar and hid the real LSD in his hotel room. The green dogs overpower Tom Rowland and take his friends hostage to find out where the LSD is. Commissioner X and the German Almann follow the green dogs into the valley of a thousand hills, where the showdown takes place.
background
The film is based on the Kommissar X novel of the same name by Bert F. Island (publisher's pseudonym) alias CH Guenter (issue 193 by Pabel-Moewig Verlag).
Reviews
"Moderately exciting James Bond imitation."
“The usual confused course of action is garnished with a bit of joke, which is mostly limited to tired jokes. If need be, for tireless people over the age of 18. "
