action

In a Scottish family castle near Loch Ness : Gina Campbell, her lover and Gina's stepdaughter Deborah Campbell, known as 'Debbie', plan to fake Debbie's kidnapping in order to get money, because the head of the family Sir Humphrey Desmond turns out to be extremely kinky and keeps everything short. A lot goes wrong, because Gina is planning nothing less than Debbie's murder. During a chase, Debbie manages to escape. She escapes on a leaky boat with which she sinks on Loch Ness. Suddenly a large shadow appears. It is the fabled Loch Ness monster and Debbie is "devoured" by the monster. When she wakes up a little later at the McKenzie family's junkyard, Debbie learns that the monster she sees is nothing more than a large dummy monster named Nessie that was put together for a big TV show. Dan McKenzie, who is behind the fake "Nessie," was her last-minute savior.

Debbie confesses to the McKenzies her stupid idea of participating in their own abduction and says that her own relatives apparently wanted to kill her in order to get her out of the way as an unwelcome witness to the crime after receiving the ransom. The McKenzies want to help Debbie get out of this mess. When Gina and her lover want to pick up Debbie's car from the junkyard, we hear the evil relatives planning the next murder. This time it should hit Debbie's father Stanley Campbell. Gina and her boyfriend think that Gina's crazy brother-in-law, the gun-loving big game hunter Sir Charles Desmond, could do this dirty job. Charles is delighted with the idea that Stanley would voluntarily sacrifice himself to be exhibited as an exhibit in his collection on Noah's Ark.

Meanwhile, Dan McKenzie is called to the lock to repair a tractor. There he befriends Debbie's sister Vanessa Campbell, or 'Nessie' for short, during his work. He wants to show her her namesake Nessie, the constructed television monster of the same name. Several times the two drive out onto the lake and are surprised how the real Nessie monster, a creature with a polar bear-like head and googly eyes, appears out of nowhere. Big game hunter Charles immediately goes on the prowl because, as is well known, he loves to kill anything that appears in front of his shotgun. But the real Nessie is by no means so stupid to be tracked down so easily and always knows how to dive down in time. The McKenzies let Debbie hitch in to save their father and take part in a bogus ransom delivery, in which McKenzie's tin rack Nessie saves Stanley from the villainous Gina in good time. Vanessa is also rushed out of the Campbell's castle.

Sir Charles, after he has been informed about the nasty Gina and her boyfriend, finds it only right and fair to now hunt down the two villains, since instead of Stanley he could also add these two to his trophy collection. The crazy uncle is finally allowed to shoot people, but he doesn't get much out of it, because the police soon take him in and put him in the madhouse without further ado. Dan McKenzie tells his family about his encounter with the real Loch Ness Monster. A television reporter is very interested in the crude story because he once commissioned the construction of the tin frame monster and decides to use his latest findings to make a television bet. Dan can finally prove that the real and only Nessie exists, and the family decides to take care of the lovable flesh and blood Nessie monster.
