content

Landowner Morton wants to expand his property because he knows about oil deposits under the Indian territory. Settlers also come to the area, as a peace agreement with the Comanche gives security. Disguised as soldiers, Morton lets his men attack the Indians. Black eagle, the chief of the Komantschen, then digs up the hatchet . After a bloody attack, the surviving settlers of the place seek refuge in the nearby fort with Captain Jackson and his men. However, due to the peace treaty, the fort is understaffed and Jackson is unable to act. Trapper Clint McPherson lets himself be hired by him to find out the reason for the uprising of the Indians and thus exposes Morton's fraudulent plan, which he shares with the Black Eagle. He and the Indians arrive at the fort just in time to assist the soldiers and settlers against the attack by Morton's men.

criticism

"Schematic Euro Western with modest entertainment value."

“Wonderful weird scenes. Example: a fort besieged by Indians. In the saloon, which seems larger than the fort itself, Edith Hanke [sic!] From Berlin behind the counter. In the tense situation, a white guy takes up his guitar outside and sings a hit with a lot of (studio) reverb on his voice. The whole fort rocks with it ... Sometimes you can even see the supports of the scenery. "

“German western production, which, in the case of very good actors, suffers primarily from the dialogue and the superficial conflict driving script. […] A vocal interlude disrupts the course of action, which is already quite tough and cumbersome. Without recommendation. "
