Mario Siciliano

Mario Siciliano (* 1925 in Rome ; † 1987 there ) was an Italian director , screenwriter and producer .

Life

Siciliano founded the production company Metheus Film in 1962 , which financed numerous films with adventurous and action-oriented content. A little later he produced the most commercially successful film with the religiously influenced revenge western Sartana .

In his own directorial work, he was initially attested to have technical skills and interesting figure constellations; Over time, the budgets became tighter and the directing more unrecognizable, and from 1980 onwards he increasingly devoted himself to pornography . Only once more, with Mercenary's Day , did he return to action film .

Siciliano carried the pseudonyms Luca Degli (Delli) Azzeri , Lee Castle and Marlon Sirko in some of his films .
