Zbigniew Mentzel

Zbigniew Mentzel (born April 20, 1951 in Warsaw ) is a Polish prose writer , essayist , columnist and literary critic .

Life

Mentzel attended high school in Warsaw and graduated from high school in 1969. From 1970 to 1975 he studied Polish Studies at the University of Warsaw . After obtaining his master's degree in 1975, he worked as a research assistant at the Chair of Polish Culture at the University of Warsaw until 1977 . From 1977 to 1981 he worked as the editor of the cultural section of the Polityka newspaper . In the 1980s he worked with the exile publisher Puls in London and worked with the magazine of the same name from 1991 to 1993 when it was published in Warsaw. In 1994 he began to invest in the stock market. In addition, he continued to publish feature pagesand articles in various newspapers such as Gazeta Wyborcza , Przekrój or Tygodnik Powszechny .

He lives in Warsaw.
