Zdeněk Kroča (born September 29, 1980 in Zlín ) is a Czech football player .

Career

Zdeněk Kroča began playing football at the age of six with TJ Gottwaldov, now Tescoma Zlín . From the 1998/99 season, the defender was part of the first division team at the then second division. In 2001 he won the UEFA Regions' Cup with Central Moravia , then signed a professional contract. In 2002, Zlín was promoted to the Gambrinus league , the 1.95 meter tall and headed Kroča was initially not usually part of the starting lineup, but this changed from the 2003/04 season: In the following three years Kroča only missed four games of his team . At the beginning of 2006 a move to the Slovak first division club Artmedia Bratislava seemed almost certain, but ultimately failed due to the disagreement about the amount of the transfer fee.

In the summer of 2006, Kroča switched to the regional league team Sportfreunde Siegen on loan with a one-year option . At the end of November 2006 he tore a cruciate ligament . In the summer of 2007 Zdeněk Kroča returned to Zlín . In August 2010, Kroča was signed by Luton Town.
