The UEFA Regions' Cup is an international competition for European amateur soccer teams . It has been organized every two years by the European football association UEFA since 1998 .

The re-introduction of the Regions Cup as a pan-European amateur competition was decided by the UEFA Executive Committee in 1996. It is the successor to the 1966 UEFA Amateur Cup , which was discontinued in 1978 due to a lack of interest from member associations and spectators. With the establishment of a committee for amateur football within UEFA, the idea of the competition was revived. Instead of club or national teams, only regional selections were allowed for the new cup.

All 54 member associations can nominate a representative for the Regions' Cup if they host national competitions for amateur teams. Originally, the teams determined eight participants during qualification in knockout rounds, who then play the cup winners in a tournament. Since 2004 the qualification matches have also been held in small tournaments.
