Zdeněk Němeček (1938)

Zdeněk Němeček (born February 19, 1894 - † July 5, 1957 in Munich ) was a Czech writer and dramaturge.

During the First World War he was an officer in the Czechoslovak legions , from 1921 he worked in the diplomatic service. During the Second World War he was a member of the Parsifal resistance group .

In 1948 he emigrated to Canada and later to the United States .

Works

In his novels, which often deal with leaving home, he brings his experience from the diplomatic service with him. Němeček was a member of Group 42 (Skupina 42).
