Zdenka Hartmann-Procházková (born April 4, 1926 in Prague , Czechoslovakia , † August 25, 2021 ) was a Czech-Austrian actress .

Life

She started studying acting at the Prague Conservatory . She had to interrupt her studies because the educational institutions in the Protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia were closed during the war . She finished her studies in Brno after the war. The first stages she appeared on were Městská divadla pražská (Prague Municipal Theater) and Divadlo ABC (ABC Theater), both in Prague.

She played on international stages, including at the Burgtheater . She was known to the Austrian public primarily as the successor to Trude Fukar in the role of Grandma Putz in the TV commercials Familie Putz from the Austrian furniture store XXXLutz . In December 2020 she retired as Grandma Putz, followed in this role by Viktoria Brams .

In the Czech-Slovak film Die Geliebte des Teufels (original title Lída Baarová ) she was seen in 2016 as 80-year-old Lída Baarová , who looks back on her life and her affair with Reich Propaganda Minister Joseph Goebbels .

Procházková was married to the Czechoslovak actor Karel Höger (1909–1977) for 17 years until the mid-1960s . In her second marriage she was married to the Austrian Erich Hartmann. She took his citizenship and stayed in Vienna after his death in the first half of the 1990s.
