The Glück & Segen colliery in the Querenburg district of Bochum is a former hard coal mine . The colliery was also known under the name Zeche Glück & Seegen , Zeche Glück & Segener Erbstollen or Zeche Glück & Seegener Erbstollen and was already in operation in 1769.

Mining history

Even before the year 1796 in a bay promoted . The shaft was located in the area of ​​today's Schattbachstrasse and Lennershofstrasse. In 1799 there was consolidation with the length fields of Geitling, Bergratte, Friedrich Wilhelm, Lute and Harp. The Längenfeld Harp later fell back into the mountain area . In addition, in 1799 a mutation for the United Glück & Segener Erbstollen was introduced. On October 5th, 1805, a length field and the fairness for the tunnel was awarded . For this reason, the gallery was also called Glück & Segener Erbstollen. There is evidence that the mine was in operation in 1839 and 1846. On September 9, 1848, the Geviertfelder Eleonore, Helene and Emilie were awarded, and the right to inheritance was renewed. The square fields each had a size of less than one square kilometer.

In 1855 the mine was out of order. In 1857 the right to inherit the tunnel was revoked, the reason for this being that the tunnel had not been established. The mine was back in operation in 1863 and 1865. In 1866 the mine was again out of order. In 1886 the mine field was taken over by the Mansfeld colliery . In 1898, which was Berechtsame finally taken over by the bill Mansfeld.
