The Sellerbecker Stolln colliery was a hard coal mine in Mülheim an der Ruhr , in the Mellinghofen-Sellerbeck district. The mine was also known as the Sellerbeck coal mine . The mine is not the direct predecessor of the United Sellerbeck colliery . The tunnel mouth hole was in the area of the Sellerbecker Höfe.
Mining history
The tunnel was probably built in the 16th century. First, the tunnel was several hundred Lachter east ascended . In the excavation of several were seams approached and Verhieb taken. This tunnel was dismantled in 1730. Before 1814, the Sellerbecker Stolln colliery was closed.
