The United Louise colliery in Essen-Werden - Fischlaken is a former hard coal mine . The colliery was in operation for almost 70 years with a few interruptions.
history
The beginnings
On January 13, 1839, a small length field was awarded . In December of the same year, the colliery was put into operation and dismantling took place in the Enshoff tunnel. From 1840 onwards, there is evidence of mining. In 1857 the mine was in operation, but it has not been proven whether mining was carried out. In 1858 the mine was initially still in operation during the year, it was probably in deadlines set. In 1865 the mine was put back into operation. At this point in time there was already a second tunnel . The tunnel mouth hole of this tunnel was on the bank of Hardenberg. The mine was shut down again in 1866 and then reopened the following year.
The other years
In 1876 it was partially merged with the Nöckerskottenbank colliery . The unified mine was called Zeche Louise & Nöckerskottenbank. In 1879 this association with the Nöckerskottenbank colliery was dissolved again. The degraded coals of the colliery Louise were underground to mine Richradt promoted . There the coal was a shaft of the coal mine Richradt to day promoted . In 1889 the United Louise colliery was leased by the Richradt colliery. In 1896, the United Louise colliery went back into operation independently. The mine field of the colliery was further opened up by the Richradt colliery. The mined coal was extracted from the Richradt colliery shaft. At this time included Berechtsame the colliery Louise a length field with an area of 1.5 km 2 . In 1903, the United Louise colliery was completely taken over by the Richradt colliery.
Promotion and workforce
The first known production figures for the mine come from 1839, when 936 Prussian tons of hard coal were produced . In 1840 the production rose to 28,419 Prussian tons of hard coal. In the following years there was a considerable decline in funding. In 1842, 2,737 Prussian tons of hard coal were mined. In 1845 the production was 41,598 bushels . The first known workforce at the mine dates back to 1867. In that year, around 11,000 tons of hard coal were extracted with 61 miners . In 1869, 46 miners extracted 12,505 tons of hard coal. In the following year, 44 miners extracted 10,759 tons of hard coal. In 1873 the production was around 72,000 bushels. In 1876, 2883 tons of hard coal were mined. In 1878, 42 miners produced 455 tons of hard coal. In 1896, seven miners extracted a total of 640 tons of hard coal. In 1900, 21 miners extracted 5,781 tons of hard coal. The last mining and workforce figures for the mine are from 1901; 32 miners produced 10,018 tons of hard coal.
