Chris "The Lord" Harms (born January 22, 1980 in Hamburg ) is a German musician. Since 2007 he has been the singer and guitarist of Lord of the Lost .

Training and work

From the age of five he learned the cello . He later took part in competitions such as "Jugend Musiziert". From 1996 to 1998 Harms took lessons from Wolfram Huschke , who introduced him to other styles such as jazz, rock and metal on the cello. At the same time he learned to play the guitar himself and, at the age of 12, learned to play the electric guitar. He wrote his first songs at the age of 15. At this age he also had his first band experiences. In 1997 he sang Mackie Messer in a school play .

From 2002 Harms studied audio engineering at the SAE Institute , graduating in 2004 and subsequently teaching.

Parallel to his band projects, Harms also works as a producer at Hammer Studios and Chameleon Studios in Hamburg. He also writes film music, produces music videos (directorial debut: Prison by Lord Of The Lost) and gives cello lessons. He worked as a studio musician and sound engineer on productions by Ciwan Haco and Nilüfer Akbal . In 2012 he was involved in the production of the first Unzucht album.

Band projects

In 1999 Harms founded his first band Philiae and left in 2004. In 2004 he helped found The Pleasures . In this band he worked as a guitarist and singer and also produced. At the same time, he produced the solo project Vagueness from 2004 to 2005 .

In 2006 Harms joined the electro band Unterart as a singer and songwriter. In 2007 he was a live guitarist with Big Boy . Also in 2007 he started the solo project Lord , which later became Lord of the Lost . In December 2012 he founded the German-language project Harms & Kapelle and Over The Jordan, which is based in the metal sector, with friends . In 2017 Harms and bandmate Pi supported the band KMFDM as live guitarists on their UK and US tour. In 2020 he released the album Panoptikum together with the singer Dero Goi von Oomph under the project name Die Kreatur , which went straight to number 8 in the German charts.

In 2010 Harms took on the lead role in the music video Kissing in the Kremlin by the 1998 musician Falco . In 2010 he also modeled for the Hamburg label Pyrate Styles . The label then sponsored the coats for the booklet of the 2011 Lord-of-the-Lost album Antagony .
