A Life Divided (proper spelling A Life [Divided] ) is a Dark - and synth rock - band from Geretsried ( Bad Tölz-Wolfratshausen ).
history
A Life Divided was founded in 2003. Her first two albums were self-distributed. In 2006 the album Far was released , which she supported as the opening act on the GlaubeLiebeTod tour of Oomph! presented. In 2007 they accompanied Eisbrecher as the opening act on the antibody tour . From 2008 to 2010 Jürgen Plangger and Erik Damköhler wrote the album Passenger , from which the singles Heart on Fire and Doesn't Count were extracted. In 2011 A Life Divided supported the band Apocalyptica on their 7th Symphony Tour .
The band's fourth album The Great Escape was released in 2013 and A Life Divided played in eleven shows as support for the second part of the After the War Tour by Hamburg-based band Mono Inc. In December 2013, the band returned to Eisbrecher to support their ten-year anniversary tour Insist on icebreaker.
Between April 24, 2014 and May 4, 2015, A Life Divided was able to headline the double headliner tour The Great Escape / Zur Sonne - Zur Freiheit with the band Down Below in clubs in six German cities.
In February 2015, the band announced that guitarist Mike Hofstätter was leaving the band. In spring 2015, A Life Divided accompanied the singer Der Graf and his band Unheilig at 21 concerts on their summit tour as a support band. The album Human was released at the same time . The first single was Inside me, followed by My Apology . In October 2015, the band did their own headlining tour for the album Human through ten German cities for the first time as a quartet .

Further activities of the band members
Plangger replaced guitarist Felix Homeier at Eisbrecher in 2006. Fuhrmann (until 2011) and Berger also play for Lacrimas Profundere . Korl Fuhrmann (civil: Karl-Heinz Fuhrmann) runs a tattoo studio in Geretsried. Tobi Egger is an author and founding member (since 2011) of the Miesbach drama group "Couchrumpler".
