Postcards
Zedler & Vogel produced postcards with pictures from numerous cities. The postcards were numbered consecutively. whereby sometimes the motifs changed with identical numbering. At first the postcards were labeled "Greetings from ...", but later only given the respective city name. The postcards were both colored and not colored. Usually the motifs were not printed over the entire surface of the postcard, but had an unprinted strip either below or on the right side, in which the description of the motif found its place. Later the unprinted stripe was omitted and the motif was printed over the entire surface. The information about the publisher and the numbering then took place on the back. The publishing house was very active in Prussia and Thuringia, but also in Bremen, Hesse and Saxony.
