The Zeebo was specially designed for the rapidly growing middle class in countries such as Brazil, Russia , India and China . The target group is primarily potential gamers who cannot afford game consoles from established competitors such as Microsoft , Sony or Nintendo . The console itself will initially be offered in Brazil at a price of just under 150 euros. The technical properties of the console are optimized for use in emerging countries. Instead of using traditional storage media, the games are distributed exclusively via a UMTS network called Zeebonet. Numerous game publishers such as Electronic Arts , THQ and Activision Blizzard have already agreed to publish games for Zeebo. The games FIFA 09 , Evil Prey, Brainchallenge and Need for Speed: Carbon will be preinstalled on the console. Quake will be offered as a free download on launch. Additional games will be available for download for prices between $ 5 and $ 15 per title.
