Zelda Rae Williams (born July 31, 1989 in New York City ) is an American actress . She is the daughter of actor Robin Williams .

It was named after the princess from " The Legend of Zelda " games. She laid the first stone for her career in 2004 with her role as Melissa Loggia, the big crush of the main character in House of D. In 2007 she won a place in People Magazine's “100 Most Beautiful People” ranking .

Career

Williams was born in New York City in 1989. Her mother is film producer Marsha Garces , Robin Williams' second wife. She also has an older half-brother named Zachary Pym Williams (* 1983) and a younger brother named Cody Alan Williams (* 1991). Zelda Williams, according to her father, was named after Princess Zelda because of his personal passion for video games:

“I'm a videogame junkie. What'd you expect from a kid named after one? "

Career

Williams' acting career began with a role in the American film House of D. in the role of the protagonist's great childhood sweetheart . Her father also played a supporting role in the production. Although the film received mixed reviews, Williams' performance received generally good reviews. Then Zelda Williams worked in several independent films, including the musical Would the world be mine .

Zelda Williams and her father promoted the new edition of the Nintendo game The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time for the Nintendo 3DS and The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword for the Nintendo Wii .
