Zenón Noriega Agüero (born July 12, 1900 in Cajamarca , Peru , † May 7, 1957 in Lima , Peru), general and politician, was briefly president of Peru in 1950 at the head of a military junta.

Noriega was born in Cajamarca in 1900. He was the deputy of Manuel A. Odría since he took power in a military coup in 1948. On June 1, 1950, Odría handed over the official business to Noriega, because he wanted to run in a presidential election (as the only candidate) and be confirmed by the people. After the election, Noriega returned the presidency to Odría on July 28th. Historians agree that Noriega did not rule independently, but followed Odría's instructions as a straw man in the presidency.

In 1955, Noriega planned a coup to depose Odrías, but this thwarted. Noriega was imprisoned and died in 1957.
