The tennis competitions of the XII. Central American and Caribbean Games 1974 were played from March 1st to 7th on the grounds of the Club Deportivo Naco in Santo Domingo . There were singles and doubles for men and women as well as the mixed competition. Mexico won four titles. The Cuban Aleida Spex , winner of the mixed competition, went to the Chilean embassy to seek political asylum after the tournament .
