The tennis competitions of the XIII. The 1978 Central American and Caribbean Games were played from July 8 to 16 on hard courts newly laid out for the games in the Parque Recreativo Atanasio Girardot in Medellín . There were singles and doubles for men and women as well as the mixed competition.
