The Central Office for Examination Tasks North-West ( ZPA Nord-West for short ) is a central task creation facility of the Chambers of Industry and Commerce (IHKs) for the development of examination tasks for commercial and business-related training occupations .

history

The ZPA Nord-West was founded in 2007 by the IHKs in Berlin , Bremen , Hamburg , North Rhine-Westphalia and Schleswig-Holstein with the aim of developing nationally standardized examination tasks for the intermediate and final examinations of dual training occupations. The ZPA Nord-West is managed by the Cologne Chamber of Commerce and Industry .

Offer of the ZPA North-West

As of 2013, the ZPA Nord-West provides the task sets for the final and intermediate exams in 31 training occupations, e.g. B. for the IT specialist , the specialist for safety and security or the zoo keeper .

Creation of examination tasks

The examination tasks are created by volunteer experts. For each apprenticeship occupation there is a separate technical committee with equal representation consisting of representatives from employers and employees as well as teachers from vocational schools . The Vocational Training Act (BBiG) stipulates that these people must be competent. In addition, the members of a task preparation committee must also be appointed as auditors.

High quality standards must be adhered to when creating examination tasks. The basis for the development of the examination tasks are the requirements from the training regulations of the respective profession. It stipulates that “trainees [are] enabled to perform a qualified job, which in particular includes independent planning, implementation and monitoring. Usually it is understood to mean professional competence. ". Furthermore, the tasks are based on the quality criteria for empirical studies. Examination tasks must: "be objective, understandable and unambiguous, avoid one-sided focus and subtleties, check professional competence, deliver reliable results, actually check what they are supposed to examine, distinguish between high and low performers and be economically viable."
