Zienia Merton

Zienia Merton (born December 11, 1945 in Brunei - † September 14, 2018 ) was a British actress .

Life

The daughter of an Anglo-French colonial official and a Burmese dancer grew up in Singapore and Borneo . She attended school in Portugal and received dance training in Tring ( Hertfordshire ). At the age of 11 she danced at the Royal Festival Hall in London as a mouse in the Nutcracker Suite by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky .

In 1962 she made her film debut as a Venusian in Masters of Venus . Unnamed she appeared in the Beatles film Hi-Hi-Hilfe! with, then she stood next to Gregory Peck in The Most Dangerous Man in the World and next to Charles Aznavour in The Last Adventurers in front of the camera. The Austrian producer Karl Spiehs made her the unreachable Thai princess Tamani as the partner of Roy Black to give his film When you are with me an international touch.

However, Zienia Merton first became known as Sandra Benes in the science fiction series Moon Base Alpha 1 . After that, she usually only received minor tasks in television series.

Her autobiography Anecdotes and Armadillos was published by Lulu Press in 2005 ( ISBN 1-4116-3484-5 ).
