The Zimmermannberg is a 2325 m high mountain in the East Antarctic Queen Maud Land . It rises 5.5 km north of the Ritscher summit in the Otto von Gruber Mountains .
It was discovered and named during the German Antarctic Expedition in 1938/39 under the direction of polar explorer Alfred Ritscher . It is named after Carl Zimmermann, then Vice President of the German Research Foundation .
